I recently wrote that a higher gold price doesn’t solve project fragility.
Yet a project can remain fragile and still become a viable component of a larger operating system.
The question then becomes:
“Can this project belong in a regional operating model?”
And it leads to very different acquisition decisions.
But…
Western Australian gold has operated this way for decades.
Multiple pits. Multiple ore sources. One processing system.
All we’re doing is widening the boundary.
